2020 Highpoint Challenge Fundraiser

2020 was to have been the kick-off of the Climb for Cancer Foundation's nationwide climbing event, 50-50-1, but the pandemic had other ideas, so we pivoted to the Highpoint Challenge.

We're encouraging those who'd like to get outdoors this summer for a good cause to pick a highpoint near you--this could be your state's official highpoint, another nearby mountain, or even a hill--and climb and fundraise to support cancer patients and their families.

Cancer doesn't stop for COVID-19. Even in this terrible crisis, cancer patients must still get to treatment. Postponing life-saving chemotherapy and radiation is not an option. And for many who are suffering the economic fallout of the pandemic, the cost of getting to treatment can be devastating. The Harriet's Helping Hand Program provides such assistance to those who need it. $5 will buy a meal voucher. $20 will buy a gas card. And $50 can provide lodging assistance to cancer patients and their families who must travel long distances for treatment.

It is an inspiring opportunity to join with friends and family to help make a real impact in the ongoing battle to fight cancer and support those undergoing treatment. If you'd like to participate, register now

Emergency Relief Campaign

Due to the required social distancing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Climb for Cancer Foundation has postponed one of our biggest fundraisers, the Hogtown 5K Beer Run, which raises $30,000 for the needs of cancer patients and their families being treated at UF Health Shands.

Any assistance you can provide will help us meet the needs of the cancer patients and their families during this particularly difficult time. Donate now, or become a fundraiser.

The Amazing Give

The Amazing Give has been moved to August 19-20, and the Climb for Cancer Foundation is participating once again in this 24-hour online fundraiser. Please join our campaign in August and help us reach our goal of $10,000 and 50 donors!

Hogtown 5K Beer Run

COVID-19 continues to impact public health and have significant economic and social implications around the world, including here in Florida, and in Alachua County. The Climb for Cancer Foundation's primary concern is the health and safety of our donors and supporters, their families, and the community. After discussions with medical professionals, and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Hogtown 5K Beer Run. The run will be rescheduled at a later date. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for updates.
