The Ron and Dianne Farb Climb for Cancer Foundation, Inc. (“Climb for Cancer”) values your trust, and we understand the importance of protecting your privacy. We want to make sure that you understand how your Personal Information is collected and used by Climb for Cancer. Contact Information and Preferences

We may request contact information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, and your preferences for how you would like to be contacted by the Climb for Cancer.

Demographic Information

We may request limited demographic Information such as your gender, marital status, geographic location, and date of birth. 

Financial Information

If you make a donation to Climb for Cancer, we will collect payment information such as your credit card number to process your transaction. We may use a third-party payment service to process payments made through the Website. We will retain your credit card information only for as long as necessary to process the transaction. Once the transaction is processed, we no longer have access to that information. 

How We Collect Your Personal Information 

Site Use

We may collect Personal Information through your use of the Website. If you become a registered user of the Website, we will collect login and profile information and may also collect information about your areas of interest. 

Donations

If you make a donation to Climb for Cancer, we will collect information from you that may include: your name, address, telephone number, and/or e-mail address so that we can send you a receipt and thank you for your donation. We may also collect limited financial Information to process your donations.

Event Registration

If you register to participate in a Climb for Cancer event, such as the Hogtown 5K Beer Run or one of our climbing or trekking trips, we will collect your Personal Information as stated above.

How We Use the Personal Information

Newsletter

If you sign up to receive our Newsletter, The Summit News, we will collect and store your email address, and your name, if you provide it. We use this Personal Information to communicate with you and to share news about upcoming events or climbs, exciting news about cancer research, and results of fundraising campaigns and the work funded by those campaigns. If you choose not to receive The Summit News, you are given the opportunity to opt out or change your preferences. If you opt out, your email address is promptly removed from the mailing list. 

Emails

If you made a donation to Climb for Cancer, we may send emails to thank you for your donation and for use as a tax receipt. We may also send emails about upcoming events and fundraisers. If you choose not to receive such emails, you are given the opportunity to unsubscribe. 

Contact Form

If you contact Climb for Cancer using the Website Contact Form, we receive your email address, and your name, if you provide it, and use this Personal Information to reply to your questions or requests. 

With Whom We May Share Your Personal Information

Third Party Applications

The Climb for Cancer Website utilizes Third Party applications, including those for our Newsletter and Contact Form. These Third Parties may use your Personal Information to provide their services both to you and Climb for Cancer.
